Atlantic City Airshow To Soar Over Absecon Island on Wed, AUG 23.

The 2017 Atlantic City Airshow will return to the skies above the beaches of Atlantic City, Ventnor and Margate on Wednesday, August 23, 2017. Practice runs the day before…are fun to watch too!

The USAF Air Demonstration Squadron (“Thunderbirds”) is the air demonstration squadron of the United States Air Force (USAF).

The Thunderbirds are based at Nellis AFB, Nevada and perform aerial demonstrations in the F-16C Fighting Falcon, and they also fly two F-16D twin-seat trainers.

Much of the Thunderbirds’ display alternates between maneuvers performed by the diamond, and those performed by the opposing solos, all with magnificent accuracy and precision.

In addition to the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, confirmed for the 2017 show are U. S. Army Golden Knights Parachute Team, the GEICO Skytypers, Jim Beasley Jr.’s P51D Mustang demonstration.

This year’s Atlantic City Airshow will also feature a U.S. Navy F18 Super Hornet. Most of the performers will take off and land at the Atlantic City International Airport, which serves as the host airport for the airshow.

The Air Show can be enjoyed from almost anywhere in Atlantic City, Margate & Ventnor. The beach, boardwalk, water and roof tops are the best places to watch.
