‘Art For A Cause’ Raises Close to $10,000 for Kids With Cancer.

See pics: A big success the first time out with close to $10,000 raised for kids with cancer.

‘Art for a Cause’ drew a large crowd on Saturday Nov. 11, at the Milton & Betty Katz Jewish Community Center in Margate.

The fun-filled evening was dedicated to helping THE SUNSHINE KIDS FOUNDATION, a non-profit serving children with cancer.

The very well-attended event hosted by Berkshire Hathaway Real Estate, featured delicious hors d’oeuvres, a live & silent art auction, and music / emcee duties provided by the lovely Dianne Mitchell from 95.1 WAYV Radio.

All of the art was donated. Even the Margate School District got involved as students painted and displayed happy scenes with sunshine. Certificates were awarded and children’s art was auctioned off.

Top notch Margate restaurants donated delicious favorites.

The suave Lou Solomon was the auctioneer for the evening. Piano music provided by Joe Mancini. Steve Schafer provided photography while his son, Mitchell, played the electric violin.
