Arrest Made in New Year’s Eve AirBnB Shooting Incident

On Thursday January 24 2019, after a three-week long investigation into the shooting incident that left a 26-year-old male from Hillside NJ wounded, an arrest has been made.

The incident occurred on January 1, 2019, at a New Year’s Eve party at a residence on the beach block of Vassar Square Avenue in Ventnor.

Late Thursday evening, January 24, 2019, Ventnor City Police Department Detectives arrested a 23-year-old male from Willingboro NJ. Tamon R. Sykes (Pictured) was charged with aggravated assault, possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, and unlawful possession of a weapon. Sykes was processed at the Ventnor City Police Department and then transported to the Atlantic County Justice Facility where he is currently incarcerated.

The 26-year-old victim is still hospitalized and recovering in stable condition from injuries sustained in the shooting. The investigation was led by Detective Peter Munizza of the Ventnor City Police Department. The Ventnor City Police Department would like to thank the Atlantic County Prosecutors Office and the Burlington City Police Department for their assistance in the investigation and arrest.

Lee Bethea Jr. 23 of Sicklerville NJ, was arrested by Ofc. Kevin Brady and charged with Disorderly Conduct on January 1.

Aaron Headley, 24 of Cinnaminson NJ, was arrested by Ofc. Pierre Mancuso and charged with Disorderly Conduct on January 1.

Garmondeh Junius, 25 of Mount Holly NJ, was arrested by Ofc. Kevin Brady and charged with Disorderly Conduct on January 1.

Santiago Suarez-Espino, 23 of Ventnor City NJ, was arrested by Ofc. Damian Guanchez and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia on January 4.

Bruce Enright, 30 of Margate City NJ, was arrested by Ofc. James Arentz and Ofc. Pierre Mancuso and charged with Burglary, Theft and Possession of a Controlled Substance on January 5.

Jalil Blackwell, 19 of Atlantic City NJ, was arrested by Ofc. James Arentz and charged with Obstructing Administration of Law on January 6.

Jahvon Royster, 18 of Newfield NJ, was arrested by Ofc. James Arentz and charged with Obstructing Administration of Law on January 6.

Barry Iaconelli Jr., 42 of Ventnor City NJ, was arrested by Ofc. Ryan Szaniszlo and charged with Obstructing Administration of Law on January 7.

Marc Branch, 45 of Margate City NJ, was arrested by Ofc. Gabriel Henao and charged with Shoplifting on January 10.

Victoria Tymkiw, 63 of Ventnor City NJ, was arrested by Special Ofc. Jeffrey Woodson and charged with Hindering Apprehension on January 11.

A 16-year-old male juvenile of Ventnor City NJ, was arrested by Ofc. Ray Aiuto and charged with Possession of a Controlled Dangerous Substance and Curfew Violation on January 11.
