New data just released from the NJ Division of Gaming Enforcement, for September 2024 shows Internet gaming revenue growing fast, but critical in-person visits to AC continue to weaken.

Approx 41% of AC casino revenue comes from Internet gaming and sports betting.

Note: AC casino Internet gaming revenue must be split with tech companies and other 3rd parties. Not much of those winnings actually benefit the casinos or the City of Atlantic City.

In-person SEPT 2024 AC Casino revenue rounded to nearest number:

  • Borgata up 15%
  • Hard Rock down 5%
  • Ocean Casino down 28%
  • Caesars down 4%
  • Harrah’s down 16%
  • Tropicana down 16%
  • Resorts down 4%
  • Bally’s down 4%
  • Golden Nugget down 13%.

  1. Atlantic City is no longer an idyllic destination. The most complaints I hear is that the streets desperately need paving so they don’t add car repair costs to their already-pricey trip. The other is, of course, the rise in costs tor a day, a night or more. This city desperately needs a makeover to make it into a valued destination.

  2. A former casino player

    With the huge increase in tolls and the price of gas it costs to come to AC. The casinos have made the slots so tight often there is little or no play. They don’t reward players with gifts, gift cards and other reasons to visit the casino. They must incentivize people to visit which they now refuse to do.
