Ventnor and Margate parents are watching closely.
On Monday DEC 1, Marty Small, the current Atlantic City Mayor gets one step closer to facing the jury that will decide his fate.
BreakingAC: Marty Small is accused of beating his then-16-year-old daughter unconscious with a broom, and then urging her to change her story after he and his wife were criminally charged.
Marty Small also accused of: grabbing daughter’s head, throwing her to the ground and threatening to throw her down the stairs.

Between them, Marty and LaQuetta Small control a $500 million budget.
Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office: During one incident, on January 13, 2024, Marty Small, Sr. is alleged to have hit his daughter multiple times in the head with a broom causing her to lose consciousness.
Both he and his wife, Superintendent Dr. La’Quetta Small, face criminal charges along with now-suspended Atlantic City High School Principal Constance Days-Chapman, who the state claims did not report the girl’s allegations of abuse to the Division of Child Protection and Permanency.
Marty Small was also indicted for third-degree terroristic threats, and third-degree aggravated assault.
AC School Boss LaQuetta Small goes to trial JAN 15 2026.
Mayor Small and his wife, School District Superintendent La Quetta Small were both indicted for second-degree Endangering the Welfare of a Child.
It is alleged that during the months of December 2023 and January 2024, the defendants, Marty and LaQuetta, physically and emotionally abused their 15/16-year-old-daughter on multiple occasions.
The trial will be open to the public.
APNEWS: La’Quetta Small is accused of punching her daughter multiple times on the chest, leaving bruising. She is also accused of dragging her daughter by the hair and striking her with a belt on her shoulders, leaving marks.

When Ventnor had a school board seat, the city typically voted FOR the Small agenda.
Margate Commissioner Cathy Horn works for LaQuetta Small as School Psychologist.
Advice to the Prosecution, show the pictures, play the recordings, hear the EMTs and hospital workers who treated their daughter and close it. The people of Atlantic City and jurors are lawless.
This is the only place to post online and we can’t figure out what is going on with the trial. If EL’s video was not played there is no guilty verdict because EL is not credible. Either the Prosecution’s case is failing or they are overconfident.
