Atlantic City Mayor Melts Down at Press Conference Over Student Abuse Lawsuit

The Mayor of Atlantic City lashed out at non-supporters during a hastily called press conference on May 10. Watch video above.

Marty Small used the time to defend both himself and his wife, Atlantic City School Distrcit Superintendant, LaQuetta Small.

Ventnor sends 191 students to Atlantic City High School at a taxpayer cost of $4 million per year.

Team Small have faced mounting criticism for alleged roles in not reporting student abuse, harrassment of black-owned small business, and the rising crime rate in Atlantic City.

The LaQuetta Small Fish Heads Incident.

In the summer of 2021, upon exiting the Back Bay Ale House, LaQuetta Small may have picked a fight with Greg ‘Dredgie’ Wood, owner of the Fish Heads food truck in Gardners Basin.

The situation involves a boy who was allegedly abused by Marty and LaQuetta Small’s cousin, Kayan Frazier.

Ms. Small allegedly didn’t approve of a particular boy spending time at the food truck. The boy may have been involved with the investigation into Small’s relative, who’s now serving federal prison time for child pornography. The mother of the child is suing Marty and LaQuetta Small, the AC school district and others.

Kayan Frazier, cousin of the Small’s, met and started to ‘groom’ a young boy when he worked for Principal LaQuetta Small at Pennsylvania Ave School.

LaQuetta Small allegedly broke from protocol and didn’t call local police upon catching her cousin taking a young boy home for the night.

Even after being fired by his cousin LaQuetta, Frazier continued to work at other Atlantic City elementary schools. Months later, Frazier was hired by the State of NJ to work with troubled kids.

Who endorsed Frazier for that NJ State job? Was a proper background check performed?

Fish Heads is a black-owned business operating in Atlantic City for the past 25 years.

Sweating profusely. Cursing. Fart jokes. Hateful, racial rhetoric. Mayor Marty Small unhinged.

Mayor Small attacked elected, Republican Black leaders; Cape May County’s Antwon Mclellen, Atlantic County Commissioner Andrew Parker and Egg Harbor Committeeman, Ray Ellis.

Small attacked anyone supporting Fish Heads, including NJ Senator Vince Polistina and NJ Assemblyman Don Guardian.

When cornered, AC Mayor Marty Small always plays the race card.

  1. It’s about time the higher authorities address this serious issue in the AC school district. The safety and well being of our children should always be first and foremost no matter who is running out schools.

It’s definitely time for a re-organization of the AC School District!

  2. Phil from Ventnor

Utterly astonishing that nobody considers this improper or nepotism… the mayor and the superintendent of schools being husband and wife. How is this allowable?

    1. Phil from Ventnor

Agreed! I often wonder what Mayor Beth is thinking. She seems to forget she is a REPUBLICAN from time to time and we should be distancing ourselves from the mess in Atlantic City. Time to move where the kids go to school already! Pick a better district or form our own!

      1. So when are you moving? Even if Ventnor wanted to (which they should) you can’t just throw up your own program over night.

      2. Political affiliation is irrelevant to what is being alleged – wrong is wrong no matter who/what political parties are involved.

  3. Mayor Holtzman knew about all of these allegations and still supported the child molester protectors. DISGRACE of a human being to not put the children first. Buzz Might want to investigate the real reason Stockton rowing was forced to go to Brigantine. So the smalls can use the facility for thier fraternity Good job supporting the smalls mayor holtzman

  4. It’s time we ELECT our school board. That way, the members would decide fairly what residents want and what’s best for our kids.
Its not good to have political appointees in what is a non-partisan job. Btw, Ventnor is only one of 17 out of the roughly 226 NJ school districts that don’t elect their school board. What? Voters are not smart enough to decide?

  5. The allegations are one thing but why would you send Ventnor students to a school where only 25 percent who graduate meet minimum standards for reading and math ?

  6. This is a horrible! Smalls is horrible with the black white the entire thing makes me sick.
Growing up in AC the fact is we have NOTHING any of these offices show signs of not just being self severe to each mayor not to the people .
    White black blue green

  7. Please enlighten us on how they should “get rid” of them. In these crazy times, perhaps be more thoughtful with your words.

  8. What most people are missing here is that the very people that keep voting this trash back into office, like Small, his wife, the relatives, etc, are the very people that do not receive anything from the City. What did they do for ya’ll? Put a new friggin Popeyes in over their. You STILL have NO SUPERMARKETS. Something is VERY WRONG WITH THAT. Gee thanks Small. Your schools suck, the thugs are running rampant in the streets, the crime rate is out if control, and litterally the City’s streets and infrastructure are in horrendous disrepair. The residents of this armpit of a City are responsible for how it’s governed. You had your chances to elect different people. Either elect different politicians, or shut up and enjoy the crap ya’ll elected. But you better start carrying a weapon for your safety.

    1. I’m guessing I missed your name on the AC ballot for mayor or any elected positions, Heywood, as you clearly seem to have all of the answers and solutions based on your comment.

  9. Old Saying: We get the government we deserve.
Don’t we deserve better than this?
Maybe the mayor DOESN’T have to be the product of AC schools!
Maybe he/she can have a good education, speak and write grammatically correct English, have business sense good enough to administer the city without stealing from it. Is it too much to ask???
