Why did CRDA’s Lance Landgraf get muzzled?
The CRDA, Casino Reinvestment Development Authority, voted NO to a road diet, a plan for reducing four Atlantic City street lanes down to two.
This angered AC Mayor Marty Small, who is also a CRDA board member. Small wants the road project to continue. Flustered, Small then proceeded to accuse CRDA’s Lance Landgraf of perceived ‘bias’.
Landgraf is the Director of Planning and Development for CRDA, the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority. Landgraf is Ventnor resident and elected commissioner there.
What happened? Mayor Small may have asked CRDA chairman Eric Sheffler to muzzle Landgraf and remove him from all discussions regarding Atlantic City.
Allegation: Small retaliating against Landgraf for writing letter requesting Marty’s wife, LaQuetta Small, be removed from her top spot in the AC school district. The Smalls could soon face a grand jury regarding child abuse charges.

Why did Landgraf recuse himself? Maybe because of that letter he sent to AC Board of Education?
The letter was drafted and signed by the Ventnor Mayor and Ventnor school board president, Doug Biagi. Landgraf and Biagi both want La’Quetta Small to step aside.
The former AC School Board President John Devlin also says school boss LaQuetta Small must step aside until proven innocent of those ugly child abuse charges. Listen to audio:

Should Landgraf recuse himself when considering Atlantic City projects? Is he biased? Hardly.
Landgraf is the only local mayor that called out bad / possible criminal behavior by LaQuetta Small. Mayor Marty didn’t like that.
Brigantine Mayor Vince Sera and Margate Mayor Mike Collins have remained mostly silent on the issues affecting Atlantic City school children.
Margate Commissioner Cathy Horn is the school psychologist at Atlantic City High School.
Maybe Margate is quiet due to Fear of retribution? Those who cross Marty or LaQuetta Small often find themselves out of a job.
While Brigantine and Margate have remained silent, Landgraf remains the only local mayor to publicly call for LaQuetta Small to step down until her upcoming court battle over child abuse allegations is complete.
Is Lance Landgraf biased against Smalls? Hardly. Mayor Marty Small always plays the race card when facing opposition.

Millions of Ventnor, Margate and Brigantine taxpayer dollars are sent to the Atlantic City school district annually.
Marty and LaQuetta Small criminally charged with:
- Endangering welfare of child
- Aggravated assault
- Terroristic threats
- Simple assault
Atlantic City School District Superintendent, LaQuetta Small must step aside.
Collectively, the Smalls control about $500 million in taxpayer funding.
Ventnor is a ‘sending district’ to Atlantic City High School, a substantial taxpayer expense with no voting rights.
To date, the Atlantic City Board of Education has brushed off calls for forcing Small to step aside.
Ernest Coursey is Chief of Staff for Mayor Marty Small. His wife is Leslie White-Coursey, Executive County Superintendent of Schools. Coursey is also a County Commissioner. He’s connected to questionable Bader Field parking lot cash collection issues.
Former Ventnor Mayor Beth Holtzman openly supported LaQuetta Small for superintendent even though Small was under investigation for allegedly ignoring her cousin’s inappropriate relations with a young student where she was principal.
CRDA accused of operating in the dark, refusing to live stream and posting their public meetings on YouTube.
CRDA meetings held at inconvenient time in small room that can’t adequately accommodate attendees. Residents requesting CRDA conduct meetings at much larger AC City Hall chambers where live-streaming equipment is already set up.

Marty Small is one of the most vindictive individuals I have ever know. He and his wife are serious criminals.
Small cannot accept any criticism. They both should have been suspended like the principal.
They will get away with their crimes just like he has gotten away with all his other crimes.
He is correct that the idiots who are benefiting from him being in office will continue to vote for him.
Landgraff just won the lottery. Uncle Phil Murphy’s tool Sheffler suspending Landgraff at the behest of Small is a multi million winning ticket. Truth be told I was not a Landgraff or CRDA fan, CRDA should be abolished but so should entire AC government and Democratic Party run State.
I am all for being innocent until proven guilty, but based on the charges alleged against the Smalls, I would not be a happy camper if my child still attended AC High.
Any allegation against someone that has to do with endangering a child needs to have a little extra scrutiny applied, and I don’t think that she should be near her own children at this point, let alone hundreds of others when school resumes.
Sometimes when you smell smoke there is actually a fire, and I support what Lance has called for in regard to her stepping down at Superintendent.

CRDA is also a joke for the most part.
All these decades and all that casino money and Atlantic City still looks run down in most of the city.
So much for lower taxes in the city and county which was one of the points way back when they were trying to legalize gambling.

The Smalls are child molester protectors along with child beaters from all that I read. They get away with it while the news outlets look the other way
This local area has alot of the same old, same old friends and family network.
And it is not exactly like most of them are doing a good job?
And some seem to cover for each other?
Interesting how Eric Scheffler goes from a career in law enforcement with a very nice pension to CRDA chairperson which is basically a political appointment?
Interesting how only one local mayor and one local school board, the Ventnor mayor and school board, are the only mayor and school board of the 3 sending districts to speak up and ask for the the Atlantic City school superintendent to be suspended while charged with alleged felonies that include an alleged endangering the welfare of a child charge?
As she should be suspended, pending the outcome of her alleged criminal case. This is standard for any school employee charged accordingly, is it not?
And this mess is done right out in front of the public.
Imagine the stuff that is going on “behind the scenes” that the public does not know about?

You need both political change and mass gentrification to change AC. It’s a purge of negative human behavior and habits in this ecosystem.
What I would like to know is how someone is working for the smalls administration as a full time employee and still receiving section 8? You have to be under a certain income to qualify.
