ANOTHER DOWNBEACH E-SCOOTER ACCIDENT.
At approximately 12:30 p, June 27, officers from the Margate City Police Department were dispatched to the intersection of Adams and Winchester Ave for report of a motor vehicle accident involving an electric scooter.
At the scene they determined a 16-year-old male from Atlantic City was traveling the wrong way on Adams Avenue when he entered the intersection with Winchester Ave.
Brooke Hochman, of Holliston, Massachusetts was traveling west on Winchester Ave when the juvenile crashed into the side of her Mazda SUV with his scooter.
No summonses have been issued but remain pending the outcome of the investigation.
The juvenile victim was transported AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center with what appear to be minor injuries at this time.

There are many local businesses complicit in this fiasco. They know their staff is arriving this way to work. Sometimes two or three on the same vehicle. Ironically, I saw this transpire in front of the police station. Either they don’t know the law or they can’t read the law.
