The ACEA alliance was formed to carry out objectives of the highly regarded AngelouEconomics report.

This comprehensive road map provides instructions for diversifying Atlantic County’s economy and weaning itself off the nipple of the declining casino industry.

Atlantic County officials commissioned the AngelouEconomics report. It cost of $175,000.

Schoffer said forming and funding an economic development organization was the number one recommendation of Angelou’s report. The alliance would like to raise $2 million.

Note: The Atlantic County Economic Alliance has been searching for a full-time executive director for well over a year. Unconfirmed reports suggest the compensation package may not be priced right to attract top talent.
