Don’t need a 2.3 million parking lot there, not that busy. Not needed.
This is not for the long term. I’m sure of that. We just don’t know what the plan is. Big secret.
I think it will be a parking lot for a year or two. Then rezoned for residential when too much commercial space remains empty.
Then, a friend of the administration, buys it and develops it at a good price.
Maury doesn’t know, and neither do we.
Mayor Collins and shuttered mouth Kathy Horn can’t be trusted. Does she ever say a word?
Why aren’t businesses that would benefit from parking lot…. purchasing it? Because it’s not worth it.
Nor is it worth it for Margate taxpayers.
If Margate truly needs more public parking, how about allowing parking on beach block during daytime business hours. That’s where I’d start.
Price the property at Washington & Monmouth, now there is where a nice parking lot could go. All those establishments on the bay need parking and this property could hold quite a few. Park Mobile and enforce it, now you have year round revenue.
