Fire Breaks out in Apt Above Sack o Subs in Ventnor

Fire broke out on Saturday afternoon, June 18, in an apartment above Sack o Subs in Ventnor.

Amidst strong winds, heavy black smoke billowed from the structure.

The fire happened only a week after being reopened under new management.

Anthony Sacco recently bought the popular Ventnor sub shop from Fred Spitalnick, a franchisee.

The Ventnor Fire Department was assisted by Longport, Margate, Atlantic City and Pleasantville.

An investigation is underway. Amount of damage still unknown.
