Meet Marsha Galespie. She’s been a dedicated volunteer at The Arc Makes Cents Thrift Shop since 2007, always greeting customers with a smile and showing off her bright, stylish clothing.

Today, Marsha enjoys playing canasta, visiting the library, leading the “Old Coots” club, and riding her big yellow three-wheeler on the Ventnor Boardwalk.

The Arc Makes Cents Thrift Shops are supported by donations of clothing and goods from the community. All proceeds from the sale of donated items support programs and services that enhance the lives of local individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families in our community.
These services include case management, recreation, sports training, family services and vocational placement services.

As Margaret Mead once said, “It only takes one person to make a difference”, and Marsh has been that one person. I have known Marsha for many many years and I can only say I believe she walks on water! She is beyond a doubt one of the most dedicated people I have ever known to the City and residents of Ventnor.
