Jerry Blavat ‘the Geator’ Passes Away at 82

The Geator.

The great Jerry Blavat has passed away at 82. The Geator with the Heater. The Big Boss with the Hot Sauce.

According to 6 ABC, Blavat passed at 3:45am on Friday Jan 20, at hospice at Jefferson-Methodist Hospital in Philadelphia.

Jerry leaves behind four daughters and longtime partner Keely Stahl.

Blavat was recently suffering from medical issues related to a shoulder injury and had to cancel an upcoming show at the Kimmel Cultural Campus due to his health, according to his website.

His exact cause of death was not immediately known.

Born in South Philadelphia to a Jewish father and Italian mother.

Hi My lady Gloria and I are very saddened by the passing of Jerry Blavat we both followed Jerry through the years going to many dancing events he had and he had many we have so many photos with Jerry many CD’s with his signature’s Jerry gave Gloria and I the nick names Spider Man and Spider lady we both bought his book we will miss him tremendously our hearts go out to his family and friends Rest In Peace Jerry

Jerry was a self-made man who studied and worked hard to make it to the top he definitely was one of the top in his field and loved by all I have known Jerry since I was 13 and although we’re not close in March him for all he accomplished I was proud to know him and to know that he was from South Philly I was a nice smile and wave whenever we saw him particular for years and summer point at Bubba Macs Our prayers are with him and his family and he will always be remembered sincerely Angelo Scolieri from South Philadelphia
