When you elected Brenda and I in 2011, you trusted us with the responsibility to make the right decisions and guard your financial interests, and that’s exactly what we’ve done.
While there have been many changes that will benefit Margate now and in the future, the most significant accomplishment is that we have had NO municipal tax rate increases for FOUR consecutive years.
That isn’t insignificant. A good number of towns have raised taxes to make up for lost state aid and falling revenues, but we bucked the trend by successfully reducing spending and keeping expenses in check.
With John Amodeo on our team, we will have another dedicated public servant who is committed to working together and making decisions that are in the best interest of Margate residents.
