The 2017 Longport beach tags have arrived and are ready for purchase. Preseason sales from 9 am to 4 pm at the Clerk’s office.
- $15 for regular adult tag
- $5 for Senior (65+) tag.
- Veteran tags FREE with proof of service (DD214, County Veteran ID, military ID)
- Pre-season beach tag sales end June 16th – Full price goes in effect after June 16th.
Longport Easter Egg Hunt scheduled for Saturday, April 8. We are looking for volunteers to help set up, fill the Easter eggs and monitor the children during the event. If you would like to help out, please call Amy @ 609-823-2731 x100.
2017 Longport Beach Sweeps will be conducted April 22 (Spring) and October 21 (Winter). All volunteers wishing to partake in this event are asked to gather at the Community Center (34th/Atlantic) at 9 am to receive a pair of gloves and bag. You are requested to walk a section of the beach and collect unsightly debris such as plastic bags, trash and any other item that should not be on our beach. The data collected during this event helps find solutions to keep beaches clean and healthy for citizens and marine life and to help create federal, state, and local programs and laws to reduce litter in the environment.
The Longport Farmers Market is back for its second year. New this year are Pop-Up vendor opportunities. In addition, the market will be held every Saturday beginning June 24, 2017, with a final market held September 2, 2017.
