The Point: The concrete seawall, pavers and curbs have been installed at Point Park, 11 th and Atlantic Ave.

Still to come: installing a water fountain, landscaping, benches and light poles.

Public Works built a new dune along the bayside to help prevent tidal flooding.

There will still be public access to the beach, fishing jetty and five parking spaces.

Point Park will be completed before Memorial Day.

Bike Lane: Construction begins in April to replace the bike lane on Atlantic Ave between 17th and 22nd Aves. along the rock wall.

The current asphalt lane, prone to deterioration and many repairs, will be replaced by a smooth and more durable concrete bike lane that runs level with the street.

The updated bike lane will be shared with pedestrians who enjoy the scenic view of the bay. The project will be completed by April 30.

Beach Tags: 2026 Longport beach badges go on sale Wednesday, April 1 st at Borough Hall, 2305 Atlantic Ave.

Pre-Season Beach Tag cost: $25 for adults age 13+ and $15 for Senior Citizens age 65+.

Post Office: USPS has notified Longport Borough that there’s not enough space to build a retail location inside Borough Hall. Residents should continue to use retail services at the Margate and Somers Point USPS locations.
