Margate will hold its City Yard Sale 8 a.m.- 3 p.m. the weekend of May 2-3. Residents can have their house address posted on a map, which will be distributed at various locations before the weekend, for a registration fee of $7.
Yard sales are permissible throughout the city even if you don’t want to be on the map.
Applications are available on the city’s website, www.margate-nj.com and must be submitted no later than noon Wednesday, April 22.
Sunday, May 3 will be clean-up day. Any discarded items will be picked up by the city’s Public Works Department. Anything left curbside will be picked up during the collection. No paint, carpets, construction debris, recyclables, appliances or electronics are allowed.
Officials ask residents to be courteous during the weekend while driving through town. Do not block driveways and obey all traffic regulations. Slow down, be safe and have fun.
