Danielle McDonald of Colmar Kitchen & Bath Studio in Margate is an innovator. That’s according to Kitchen & Bath Design News
Designing and creating beachfront spaces is McDonald’s specialty. With the Jersey shore as her backdrop, second homes on the beach are her specialty.
After many years in the design industry, McDonald started at Margate, NJ-based Colmar Kitchen & Bath Studio back in 2005.
“Everything is about an influx of people for three to four days, and then there’s nobody.” Kitchens are often on the second floor to take advantage of the view. They showcase clean lines and a modern aesthetic.
One of Danielle McDonald’s designs was recently honored with the Viking Designer of Distinction award.
McDonald was honored in front of her peers. “It was a great honor to be recognized for something I am passionate about.”
After many years of vacationing at the Jersey Shore, Danielle decided to settle here permanently to raise her children. She has been largely influenced from years spent living in different regions across the country, giving her a keener sense on the individual needs of each client, as no two homes are ever the same.
Danielle earned her Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Drexel University and has applied that knowledge actively in the field for 25 years.
With a minor in Art History, Danielle has a passion for classic design and architecture. She enjoys mixing her classically inspired designs with a pop of modern, trending elements to create a more eclectic look.
Since 1986, Colmar specializes in complete kitchen and bath design, custom cabinetry and counter-tops.
