Margate Fall Funfest 2014 This Weekend

Celebrate the start of fall with two full days of amusements, entertainment, crafts and food. Stretching 6-blocks along Amherst Avenue, Fall Funfest will feature amusements rides, back bay boat tours, Ray Scott Dock’s “Wetland Wonderland” marine educational exhibit, a live web cam of a recently rescued seal pup (thanks to the Marine Mammal Stranding Center!), and a 9-hole miniature golf course on the corner of Washington & Amherst Avenues!

Fall Funfest stretches along Amherst Avenue between Decatur and Coolidge Avenues.

  • Saturday, September 27 from 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM
  • Sunday, September 28 from 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM.

A free jitney will be operating along Amherst Avenue. Wave your hand to jump aboard or head to the Tighe School (Essex and Amherst Avenue) or to the drop off area at the corner of Coolidge and Decatur Avenue.

Live music, kids’ performances, and the 18th Annual Dog Show, and a visit from Miss New Jersey; Cierra Kaler-Jones.

SHOPPING

Browse the wares over 50 artisan crafters. And don’t forget to stop by your favorite City of Margate booths, including: Margate City Fire Department, Margate City Police Department, Margate Mother’s Club, Margate Public Works, Margate Recreation Department, and the Margate Sustainable Committee.

DINING

Traditional street food meets Jersey Shore seafood. Don’t pack a lunch, you won’t want to miss smorgasbord at Fall Funfest.
