The current Mayor of Ventnor, Tim Kriebel, sees no problem with the lack of ZOOM video for this once-in-a-decade Master Plan meeting on Thursday, AUG 6.
Master Plans are a 10 year municipal road map.
Transparency in developing and understanding a Master Plan document is critical.
Very few were asked to help draft the document.
Most have no idea what it is, or what it means to homeowners, builders, investors and business owners.

Mayor Kriebel dismissed our reasonable plea: Most Ventnor 2nd homeowners are NOT in town on a Thursday. These 2nd homeowners (no voting rights or representation) make up 70% of tax base. Zoom is their lifeline for keeping a watchful eye on how Kriebel, Landgraf and Mento make decisions affecting the city as a whole.
Current Ventnor Mayor Tim Kriebel: The decision to move the Master Plan hearing (from City Hall to VCEC Ventnor School) was made to better accommodate public attendance, not to limit it. As Mayor, I have no issue owning that decision. We’re also looking into whether a Zoom option can be offered. If we can do it properly and have the staff available to manage it, I’m certainly open to making that available.
At the end of the day, our goal is simple: hold a meeting that is accessible, orderly, and allows everyone in attendance to fully participate.

I don’t think it’s necessary to hold the Master Plan hearing at the VCEC school. Commission chambers (City Hall) should be adequate. The school property does not have capability to ZOOM video stream or record their meetings.
Not providing Zoom access to second homeowners, a majority taxpayer group, is a dis-service to 70% of those Ventnor taxpayers.
I hope Ventnor would hire a videographer for the AUG 6 Master Plan hearing and post it on the municipal website and YouTube for ALL to see.
Zoom video and the recording archived on YouTube would document all input from residents in attendance, and would let all know what suggestions were made at this Master Plan public hearing.

As a resident and business owner in Ventnor, I am extremely happy with the incredible job our Mayor and Commissioners are doing. They have improved the quality of life for full time residents as well as seasonal residents.
I believe they are spending tax dollars wisely and make decisions with the best interest of the residents in mind. While I do appreciate the possibility of a zoom recording for those unable to attend, there has been plenty of notice for anyone that wants to attend and hosting at the school allows enough room for everyone.
They have a tough job as you can never satisfy everyone no matter how hard you try.
I agree 💯. The city looks and feels so much better under the current mayor and commissioners, in comparison with the previous mayors and commissioners.
I totally disagree with the Administration. Are they looking out for the taxpayers? Especially Seniors?
weird, what school is not set up for zoom this day and age…
Ventnor is awesome. Great progress over past few years, but City Hall could certainly be more transparent. And what happened to Advisory Board? Ventnor also needs taxpayer assn.
Please be more respectful to 2nd homeowners. I depend on them for rentals.
