The Ocean City High School Drama Guild presents Peter and the Starcatcher, a play based on a novel that serves as a prequel to Peter Pan.
- THURS, NOV 20 @ 6:30p
- FRI, NOV 21 @ 6:30p
- SAT, NOV 22 @ 6:30p
Where: Bill and Nancy Hughes Performing Arts Center, Ocean City High School, 501 Atlantic Ave.
Performed in the story-telling form of theatre, “Peter and the Starcatcher” requires the actors and audience to use a great deal of imagination as they transform the stage with minimal props, costumes, lighting, sound and, of course, their story-telling.
Devoted fans of the legendary tale of “Peter Pan” will catch frequent references in dialogue and action. The performance includes music, songs, and adventure, with a few surprises.
Run time is approximately 2 ½ hours, including an intermission. G to mild PG rated, best suited for ages 9 to 99+.
Notable “Downbeach” cast members include Noah Baker as “Black Stache”, Ingrid Pohlig as “Molly”, and Christian Hornig-Finneran as “Slank”.
Now in its 21st season in the “new” school, the Drama Guild theater club has deep roots in the history of the Ocean City school district.
The cast of 40 and the crew of 30 students hail from Brigantine, Dennis Township, Egg Harbor Township, Galloway, Longport, Margate, Ocean City, Sea Isle City, Upper Township and Ventnor hold roles in the cast and crew.
Supported by a Booster organization that raises funds awarded to senior students based on their level of participation, Drama Guild produces two shows per year: a Fall play and a Spring musical.
The Spring 2026 musical, “Guys and Dolls”, will begin auditions in December 2025 for April 2026 performances
