Lack of timely updates on Margate City’s website regarding water rate changes; not reflected until February despite taking effect in January.

Mayor Collins acknowledged need for better representation at meetings, particularly when department heads are unavailable, and stressed importance of public participation in government processes.

Legal notices. Easy to miss newspaper deadlines. Nobody reads the paper.

Solution: Margate can easily and cheaply send Email Alerts for legal notices. General public could ‘subscribe’ to legal notices via email. Downbeach leadership agrees? Idea would provide taxpayers much higher level of issue awareness.

Stubbornly, Collins, Blumberg and Horn have yet to adopt a Margate legal notice email blast.

No progress on Margate ZOOM video meetings.

      1. You mean, Which nepotism are you referring to?
        The 48% raise one of the office personal is about to receive?
        Is it the $100,000 bagel cutter salary?
        Maybe it’s the police chief and his courtroom affair?

  1. If Margate city managed water costs and revenue billing correctly at 5% increases to our bills over past 5 years, our bill would be $740 not over $800.

    Poor management starts at the top.

    Obviously keeping billing level for 5 years was a political ploy so as not to lose votes.

    Margate was provided with poor management in the past and it continues under Collins and Horn.

    Change is coming, we hope!

    DOES A FAMILY RESIDENCE WITH A POOL PAY THE SAME YEARLY WATER BILL AS A RESIDENCE WITHOUT A POOL?
