Home Made Soup Delivered Deliciously To Your Door At The Shore

Nothing like a hot bowl of delicious, home-made soup on a cold winter day down the shore. Good thing Margate’s Chef Ed delivers, especially when many Downbeach restaurants scale back operations during the winter months.

After 35 years of cooking in the finest restaurants, Chef Ed decided to step out with his own catering company. Now, he’s ramping up his latest food concept: The Soup Bar.

Delicious, home made soups, delivered right to your Downbeach door.

Delicious

Testimonial: Kudos to Eddie McGaurn and The Soup Bar! His soups are delicious. We tried the chicken noodle, loaded potato and broccoli cheddar. All three were prepared with fresh ingredients, very tasteful. They were outstanding! I’m now thinking about the crab bisque.

    1. Joe – you said “terrible”. Really? That’s harsh, and I find it hard to believe that someone who has been a chef for a long time would have “terrible” anything, and still be in the business. What’s your beef? (pun intended)

  1. Dont leave comments, if you speak the truth they edit the post, where did all of phils original post go. He made some great points and it got cut to look favorable to the chef. Talk about fake news #soupscoverup #thiefinthekitchen #hidetherealstory

  2. Burnt lobster bisque at farmers market and it was still served. All talk and people that leave great comments are the ones who eat for free

  3. This Chef is a clown, he worked at a place in Palmyra, was there for lunch with the kids on a Friday in the spring. We have always gone there and the food was improving, so we went to eat lunch as a family. He told the server the kitchen is closed and refused to serve food. The young server asked him to make the food since the kitchen is supposed to be open. He came out of the kitchen and screamed at her in front of us all, it wasnt like we were the only ones there, muscle man chef puffing his chest at a 20 something 90lbs girl. I will give her credit she stood her ground and fired back. He scurried back to the kitchen and was peeking out the door to see what was next. I know the owner was called by someone in the bar who knew him and told to get there asap. We left without food but an appology from the server after she got my number. The owner offered free meals and appologies and assured us that isnt how he does buisness. I heard he did the same thing to our favorite server Carlie and she left. He was gone soon after that, I would not go back if he was still there. I will never buy or support someone who uses intimidation to get their way. Know the “CHEF” you choose to buy from. Ask where his soups are made since its home based? No Health inspection required? No taxes Paid. Go to a place that is brick and mortar, to make sure you get healthy safe food! What kitchen do you cook your famous soups? Stop spamming the towns Facebook with your crap, tired of seeing your smug mug on my towns site, you are not part of Pal-Riv! You will reap what you sow!

    1. Amen!! Collecting unemployment that we are paying for while catering for profit on the side. Karma gonna bite you in the ass…. enough with your picture everywhere.

  4. One of the many you have trash talked

Can you give a physical address for where the soups are made? What town is this in? Do you have insurance in case a customer gets sick from your undercooked food or if the trunk soups you deliver are spoiled? Do you pay taxes on your earnings? Are you licenced to conduct business in any town? Or are you using the internet site to not have to follow rules or health code and inspections? When you do your events and serve adult beverages do you have a certificate from the state to allow alcohol? If not thats a criminal offense! I would think these are questions that should be answered before I would buy trunk food from you. What about the vehicle you use, is it a commercial vehicle that is insured for that purpose, is it inspected to be safe to handle the transportation of food in a safe environment? Lots of big red flags that I think would be an issue if the state found out, fiod trucks have to be inspected! Karma is coming for you and shes angry and has free time to start calling towns and finding out the truth about your fake business that isnt licenced or safe.
