Rory Lennon lives in Longport and attends Tighe Middle School in Margate. Rory was selected to play for Team Israel’s U13 Girls Lacrosse team this summer—an incredible honor as this is the inaugural year for the program.

Lennon will be competing internationally while also participating in cultural programming that strengthens her connection to Israel and her Jewish identity.

As part of this experience, Rory is also participating in Project Achim, a fundraising and service initiative that supports youth lacrosse players in Israel—many of whom face challenges accessing equipment, transportation, and consistent playing opportunities.

Rory Lennon is hosting a local fundraiser. Can you help?

She’s selling ice push pops this Sunday, April 26, 11A–2P by the Jerome Ave basketball courts in Margate.

Please consider supporting Rory and Project Achim. All donations are 100% tax deductible.

For reference, here’s what your dollars can fund in Israel:

  • $180  equips a JV player
  • $360  trains a JV team
  • $720  provides one month of local field time for one team
  • $1,800  funds round-trip team travel for two tournaments within Israel

Project Achim.

Achim” is Hebrew for “siblings” and “achi” (singular) is a slang term used by Israeli teens in the same way “bro,” “bruh,” and “dude” are used by American teens. It is a term of endearment, and chosen for this project to symbolize how these US teams will work together to help their “brothers and sisters” in Israel experience the same joys, benefits, life lessons, connections, and opportunities that the sport of lacrosse has provided them.
