Yes or No. Should Ventnor allow retail sales of marijuana if / when it becomes legal in New Jersey? Cast your vote below.

Ventnor commissioners are considering another non-binding referendum. This time, they need help in deciding how to deal with the potential of legalized, recreational marijuana.

Since a majority of Ventnor ( and Margate / Longport ) taxpayers are part-time residents with no voting rights, DownbeachBUZZ wants to know how ALL TAXPAYERS feel about potential pot shops in Ventnor.

Results will be presented to City Hall.

We like the referendum part, but a majority of Ventnor ( and Margate / Longport ) taxpayers are part-time residents with no voting rights. What about their thoughts on pot shops in Ventnor and the Downbeach area?

Governor-elect Phil Murphy has been a loud, vocal supporter of recreational marijuana. Next door in Atlantic City, Mayor Frank Gilliam LOVES the idea of legal cannabis. Gilliam is pushing for Atlantic City to have a weed monopoly for 5 years.

Imagine the Jersey shore with retail stores that specialize in marijuana, reefer, cannabis, weed, pot, joint. Whatever you call it, this natural but controversial plant could be coming to Ventnor, Margate, Atlantic City and other Jersey towns, sometime in late 2018.
