UPDATE: Plans for Filming Indie-Movie In Ventnor

Rachel Albanese has an update on her indie-film being shot right here in Ventnor. Just like Woody Allen used Manhattan as his backdrop for his films, Albanese is using Ventnor, NJ and the surrounding area for her film. The Margate based filmmaker & digital guru says: There’s an abundance of talent, character, architecture, landscapes and personality in the “Downbeach” / Atlantic City area.

Rachel is now hiring local actors and using local business to meet goals –
    • The well-known casting agent, Weist-Baron-Ryan of Atlantic City who will be casting local actors in the film
    • Sid’s Restaurant in Ventnor for our location
    • New York City actress, Rosanna Consalvo-Sarto, is a hometown Ventnor girl who grew up on Washington Avenue!
    • A local pastry chef is making the special cheesecake for production.
    • And more local news to share as we continue making connections!
  1. Get permit to shoot outdoor scene to include “WELCOME TO VENTNOR, NJ” sign.
  2. Second day of shooting. Helps make best movie possible. Crew is rested. Anything missed can be re-shot along with new scenes.
  3. Post Production (Editor, Music Composition, Sound Design, Color Correction)

Lost & Found is about a WOMAN who loses her wallet at lunch and the OWNER of the diner holds her psychologically hostage until the check is paid.

How she pays for it is the catalyst in this dark comedy and what she learns about herself is at the heart of this film.

Making a movie isn’t cheap even if it is low budget. The more you give the more success we have in completing this film.

Contributions help cover shooting expenses which include the breakdown below. It includes costs for casting, paying the actors, hiring crew and renting equipment, make up and wardrobe, food for the cast and crew, and insurance.
