NJ Congressman Jeff Van Drew will host a hearing about the offshore wind industry on Tuesday, Aug 13 in Brigantine.

The meeting will bring together members of Congress and others to talk about the impact of offshore wind energy, higher utility costs, harmful acoustics, environmental impacts and disaster resilience.
Van Drew is a staunch opponent of offshore wind. He will be joined by Congressmen Chris Smith and Scott Perry.
Special guest: A community leader from Nantucket, Massachusetts, where a wind farm operator was ordered to suspend operations after a massive turbine blade fell into the water, broke apart and washed up on local beaches.
