Ventnor awarding a contract for the reconstruction of the beachfront playground basketball courts.
Shore Top Construction was the lowest priced, qualified bidder in the amount of $230,185. This is the result of a bidding process.
Ventnor Commissioner Landgraf: We hope to get that started soon, get the basketball court back in order.
This is a complete reconstruction of that basketball court. Demolition of the existing court. Replacement of the sub-base and paving, backboards, fencing, all of it.
Basketball court project does not affect the pickleball courts. That’s separate. That project will come later.
Rebuild / repair of Ventnor Tennis and Pickleball courts at S. Suffolk Ave, are still in the concept / design phase. Ventnor not ready to send out a contract bid for that.
NOTE: Residents asking for opportunity to provide input into redesign of pickleball courts. Players want a voice.
Ventnor Recreation department meetings held at hard to find location with no ZOOM access to meeting. No YouTube archive. Ventnor Mayor Tim Kriebel made aware that residents requesting that all municipal meetings be held at ZOOM friendly City Hall; Commissioners Mtg, School Board, Planning Board and Recreation Depts.
NOTE: Ventnor still dealing with lawsuit in reference to alleged injury on pickleball courts. Ventnor says complaint is frivolous. See redacted docs below.
Notice the few remaining tennis players don’t even argue for more court time and availability anymore?
I agree there should be Zoom access to Rec meetings and should b held at city hall. I went to a Rec meeting and it was quite the adventure trying to find it.
