VIDEO: Ventnor Mayor Bagnell Joins Surfrider & Volunteers in Wellington Clean-up

Rain didn’t stop the Surfrider Foundation from cleaning up along Wellington in Ventnor on Sunday. Volunteers, including Ventnor Mayor Mike Bagnell, picked up trash and made this road into Ventnor dramatically more scenic.

About 30 volunteers worked for hours cleaning up the Wellington roadway. It was cold, rainy and fairly miserable.

The Surfrider Foundation is a non-profit grassroots organization dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of our world’s oceans, waves and beaches through a powerful activist network.

The South Jersey Chapter encompasses the area from Brigantine, NJ south to Cape May, from the beaches west to Philadelphia and the surrounding suburbs. If you are local to the beaches of Atlantic and Cape May Counties…. you’re part of the chapter.

On Jan. 27, the group will host a movie night at Steve & Cookie’s By the Bay in Margate. They will show the film “Bag It,” about the impact that plastic has on our lives, and the environment.
