According to an email sent to Ventnor City employees, Mayor Beth Maccagnano Holtzman will be stepping down. Local law requires her to do so.
Mayor Beth must leave office when she no longer lives in Ventnor.

Beth Maccagnano Holtzman has served as Mayor of Ventnor since 2016. In 2020, with no challengers to any of the 3 commission seats, Mayor Beth was re-elected for a second term.
Beth’s father, Paul, served on the Ventnor Commission a few decades back.
Once Mayor Beth steps down, the two remaining commissioners (Landgraf and Kriebel) will appoint a 3rd / replacement commissioner.
A special election might be needed fill the unexpired term of Mayor Beth. Ventnor City Commissioners choose among themselves who be will be the official Mayor.

Holtzman says she must sell her Ventnor Heights home according to terms of her divorce agreement with David Holtzman.
Mayor Beth now house-shopping in a more affordable, offshore town.
The next Ventnor Commissioners election is May 2024.
