Ventnor Movie Theater Close to Sale? Tear Down or Fixer-Upper?

Maybe. Just maybe. The old Ventnor Movie Theatre looks to be under contract for a sale based on a sign out front.

Don’t get too excited. ‘Under-contract” doesn’t mean it’s a done deal. But we do think it’s a sign that this once great parcel of land along Ventnor Ave. could soon see better days ahead. Maybe. That’s a big freekin’ maybe.

Ventnor Movie Theater Close to Sale? Tear Down or Fixer-Upper?

Will it be refurbished back into a theater? Boy, we’d love to see that, just like Stone Harbor did last year. But we’re not getting our hopes up. Will it be knocked down to make way for mixed use? (housing on top of retail). Some think so.

This Block Needs a Make-Over.

Still owned by FRANKS Theatre company, this ole movie house should be a prime target for knockdown or fix-up.

Reports of mold and other scuzzy stuff, along with potential structural issues could squash any chance for a cinema renaissance in Ventnor.

The Ventnor Twin Movie Theater was potential target for eminent domain.

Recently….a buyer seems to be close to a deal…or do they still have cold feet?

The conspiracy theorist in us thinks the FRANKS company is just sitting on it. Let’s make sure NOBODY revives the building into a potential competitor for HIS movie houses just off-shore.

No doubt, many would gladly pay a premium to watch first-run movies on a big screen, in a comfy rocker chair, eating fresh popcorn…..

Driving 20+ minutes to the movies stinks. We’d rather watch Netflix.

The Ventnor Twin Movie Theater is connected to 2 abandoned retails shops on both sides.

We believe this is a real valuation-killer for a hi-traffic block that features WAWA, Domenico’s & the world’s best subs: Sack O’ Subs.

Every car that drives thru town sees that Ventnor movie theater mess. Think that gives a bad impression to those passing thru? Damn straight.

Think it hurts property values? Yup.
