Ventnor City Police Department’s K9 Joker has received a bullet and stab protective vest thanks to a charitable donation from non-profit organization Vested Interest in K9s, Inc.

K9 Joker’s vest is sponsored by Jennifer Luciano of Vineland, NJ and embroidered with the sentiment “Protect me and my partner from harm”.

K9 Joker, a 2 year old Belgian Malinois, joined the Ventnor Police in August 2015 and partnered with K9 Officer Marc Franco Jr.

K9 Joker has completed over 28 weeks of training and certified in tracking, apprehension, article search, building search, and narcotic detection.

The vest will provide an additional level of protection to K9 Joker in the performance of his duties as he protects the residents of Ventnor and the members of the Ventnor City Police Department. The Ventnor City Police Department would like to thank Jennifer Luciano for the generous donation and Vested Interest in K9s for providing the vest.
