According to reports: On August 5 at approx 9p, thieves used stolen credit cards at White Star Liquors in Ventnor.
Three men are caught clearly on security cameras getting away with large quantities of expensive, top shelf spirits.
Ventnor PD now investigating the fraudulent use of those stolen credit cards.
Detectives looking to identify and locate these three men:
From White Star Liquor’s Elisa Victoria on Facebook: Last night three men came into White Star claiming to be party planners for a nearby event.
They proceeded to “buy” large quantities of top shelf spirits and shopped around the store from 8:00-9:00. When they paid they all used separate cards and the transactions went through.
My employee told them to pull their car up so she could help them load but they refused and she noticed them going in different directions.
When I got there I tired to stop them to ask where this event was and the name of the event company but they rushed out the door and never answered any of my questions.
Fifteen minutes later I had a woman calling the store yelling that her card had just been charged and that it was not authorized.

I am writing this to alert all businesses to please be aware of what is going on and have strict credit protocols in place.
If you do not have credit card policies established you and your employees are at risk for scams and fraud. We were caught off guard last night and it was a very costly lesson to learn.😞
Ventnor Liquor Store Victim of Credit Card Fraud.
Anyone with info about this crime should call Detective Kevin Brady at 609-822-2101.
