Ventnor pickleball 2025 Update 1 Ventnor pickleball 2025 Update

Have you noticed? The popular Ventnor pickleball courts are in dire need of basic maintenance.

Nets need to be repaired or replaced. Associated hardware and fencing needs attention as well. Those growing surface cracks won’t be addressed until 2026.

PUBLIC COMMENT: A section of this Ventnor recreation area (pickleball) is a major money maker for the City. Why is it last on their “actual” to-do-list? The new playground and new basketball court are great assets but neither generates any income. Let’s hope Ventnor Commissioners see the real needs at this recreation park and address them sooner rather than later.

Have questions or concerns regarding Ventnor Pickleball, including summer fees, court conditions and Court Reserve registration? Contact Ventnor Commissioners.

Either Ventnor Mayor Tim Kriebel or Commissioner Lance Landgraf should be able to answer most questions.

We think the Commissioner of Recreation is still Mayor Tim Kriebel. tkriebel@ventnorcity.org

Commissioner of Public Works is Lance Landgraf. llandgraf@ventnorcity.org

Tom Ciccarone is the Ventnor City Administrator. Reach Tom at tciccarone@ventnorcity.org

Will Ventnor convert 1 tennis court into 2 pickleball courts? Will popular Funky Pickle tournament return?

The beloved Pickleball Court Web-Cam is no longer in operation. We’re told it was never approved by City Hall. The solar powered webcam was installed by a private entity/tournament last summer.

Take Note: Multiple requests have ben made for Ventnor Recreation Dept meetings be held at City Hall instead of that small office behind the boathouse on Surrey Ave. City Hall would allow more residents to attend in person, or participate via Zoom.

Ventnor Pickleball Advisory Committee (VPAC) is no longer able to provide that important information to you.

The Recreation Department may provide some guidance. They will meet on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at 6:30 pm at the Recreation Building located at 311 N. Surrey Avenue.

  1. Since it’s hard for Ventnor residents to sign up for Pickelball why don’t you charge more for nonresidents of Ventnor?

  2. No more pickle courts, please!!!!!
Tennis courts need attention. You guys spent $235K for the stage at Newport but not a penny on the PB or Tennis courts.
