Latest Ventnor Pickleball News > According to Ventnor Business Admin Tom Ciccarone, plans are being finalized for an all new, total rebuild of the pickleball and tennis courts.
On Thursday, Oct 16, we asked Mr. Ciccarone if the Ventnor Pickleball Committee (VPAC) was asked for input. Who is spearheading new design of the courts?
Ciccarone promptly replied: ‘Input has been received from VPAC members.’ This conflicted with what key members of VPAC told us: ‘no one from Ventnor City Hall asked for input.’

No one is quite sure what the re-design plan is or who the professional Pickleball and Tennis contractor is?
VPAC could provide recommendations.
A few members of Ventnor’s pickleball committee (VPAC) are well known for their work around the country in regards to pickleball court layout, logistics and best practices.

As to when the project will start and finish, Ciccarone says: Project will go out to bid soon, but he doesn’t know the exact date. Plan is to be finished before May.
What if plan and work is delayed, mid-project? Most expect all courts to soon be closed / demolished / rebuilt / for many weeks / months.
Input appreciated: Leave a comment below. What would you like to see in a new tennis / pickleball court design?
All comments will be forward to Ventnor Business Admin, Tom Ciccarone and Mayor Tim Kriebel.

Pat Harrigan : Although VPAC members were not individually sought out for input there were preliminary discussion(s) between a few members and of course our request to have 4 permanent courts on the blended court.
The mayor (Kriebel) told me they’re reviewing design then will go out to bid. It’s a $1mm project so VPAC believes city keeping close to vest until proper time for sharing.
Obviously if more input is needed we are available to help.
