What about Ventnor Pickleball courts?

Back in DEC 2024, Ventnor Mayor Tim Kriebel, Commissioners Lance Landgraf and Maria Mento discussed repairs, upgrades and maybe a total rebuild of the wildly popular pickleball courts at Suffolk and the Boardwalk.

With Spring 2025 just days away, might be time for Ventnor City Hall to start installing much needed, new nets and associated poles / hardware.

Gotta repair the perimeter and inner fencing too. And what about those growing cracks and dead spots?

Poor upkeep of basketball and pickleball courts makes Ventnor look bad.

A beach playground should be well kept, safe and clean.

Ventnor Pickleball courts are not tournament ready for annual Paddle Battle and Funky Pickle.

  1. Have you seen the dilapidated kids playground? There are many things broken, trash, and falling apart. Shame on Ventnor officials.

    1. Obviously neither you nor the author have been in and around Ventnor very long! I’m not condoning the insufficient upkeep of those facilities, but as a lifelong resident I can also tell you that these areas have been updated incredibly well compared to yesteryears! Ventnor has made significant strides over the years and I bet with a little patience you will see results.

  2. Surprisingly, Ventnor Pickleball courts will be shut down 3 full days for private pickleball tournament. Sept 5,6,7, 2025.
    Plan accordingly.

  3. Well at least it’s not during summer when pickleball courts are overcrowded.

Pickleball Is Life Tournament was smart enough to have event after Labor Day when kids are back in school, unlike the Funky Pickleball Tournament which will be a full weekend during the summer and will close the courts for that event.
