Ventnor Poised for Pizza, Movie and Retail Liquor Upgrades

Santucci Ventnor
Coming Soon to Ventnor

Two large and exciting Ventnor development projects are moving to the next step. Ventnor’s 3 available liquor licenses played a major role here. Now it’s time for those businesses to present their ideas to the Ventnor Planning Board.

Back on Nov. 8, Ventnor Commissioners awarded the first of three licenses to Blake Barabuscio, Alicia Santucci and Frank Santucci. They plan on opening a Santucci’s Square Pizza at the former Arrow Hardware, 6515 Ventnor Ave. High bid for that license was $77,100.

The second retail liquor consumption license was awarded to Brett DeNafo, Clint Bunting and Scot Kaufman. The trio recently purchased the former Ventnor Twin movie theater at 5211 Ventnor Ave. They plan to turn it into the Ventnor Square Movie Theater. Burgers and spirits will be available to moviegoers. The high bid was $91,100 for that second liquor license.

The 3rd and final Ventnor liquor licence will not be auctioned off… for now.

The former Ventnor Twin Movie property (across from WAWA) has already been gutted. Site plan approvals from the Ventnor Planning Board are pending. Getting the liquor license was mission critical before shooting for site plan approvals.

The Ventnor Planning Board meeting will be 6:30 p at Ventnor City Hall.

  1. I am thrilled to have movies again in Ventnor!
My most favorite time that I was there, they had a midnight viewing of Rocky Horror Picture Show and me and several friends got dressed up or brought props and were interacting with it along with the rest of the audience! We need movie night and special screening nights again in Ventnor
