Reynolds Nominated.

Looks like Ventnor will need to fill another legal position within the city.

Earlier this year, Ventnor City Solicitor Tim Maguire was appointed to Chief Judge of the recently launched, Atlantic County centralized court system.

And now, DownbeachBUZZ has learned that another Ventnor prosecutor is getting called on for the greater good.

William Reynolds has been nominated for Atlantic County Prosecutor by NJ Governor Phil Murphy.

Nomination is subject to confirmation by the NJ Senate.

Reynolds likely to become Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor on June 6.

“I am most grateful to Governor Murphy for the trust and confidence he has placed in me,” said Reynolds, incoming Atlantic County Prosecutor.

Reynolds currently serves as prosecutor for Ventnor and Galloway Township. His past positions include Brigantine, Estell Manor, Egg Harbor Township and Somers Point.

Reynolds succeeds Cary Shill, the acting prosecutor since Damon Tyner resigned last year.

Reynolds lives in Brigantine, NJ.

“The Governor’s nominee, Will Reynolds, is respected by officials on both sides of the political aisle, and committed to protecting local residents and ensuring safe neighborhoods,” said NJ Senator Vince Polistina.
