On November 11, 2025, contractors moved a Margate house from Douglas Ave, down Winchester Ave and out to Jerome Ave.
Destination unknown.
The house, originally from Douglas Ave, was split into two sections—the first and second floors—to facilitate transport on separate flatbed trucks.

This relocation effort, observed on Winchester Ave, required a police escort and the temporary removal of tree branches that obstructed the path of the oversized loads.
The video highlights how the split structure was low enough to pass beneath power lines and notes that parking was restricted along the route to ensure clearance for the specialized move.

I live near the Tequilla Bar known as Sunrise. Although the new windows (made of plexiglass?) don’t solve all of the negative issues this bar brought into our once quiet neighborhood, it does seem much quieter. Of course, the summer crowds are gone, but the noise level is definitely down and I can actually hear the sounds of waves hitting the beach once more.
I still wonder how the residents next to the Tequilla Bar deal with those loud, smelly, insanitary dumpsters. That needs to be addressed. Maybe the board of health, or the NJ State EPA can figure it out, but it needs to be addressed. A good attorney and a lawsuit would work too.
