WARNING: Margate & Ventnor Waterways Affected by Bader Field Raw Sewage Leak

Five days and counting.

Margate & Ventnor residents were finally warned of potential contaminated back-bay water on Sept 26. Not from dredging or storm water run-off…but from a ruptured, raw sewage pipe at Bader Field.

Did local newspapers & radio hold this story back for 3 days? Almost ZERO coverage now? (UPDATE: Leak Stopped as of Sept 29)

Bader Field Poop-Fest in Atlantic City. 5 Days and Growing. Raw sewage pouring into Absecon Island back-waterways.

Important Public Notice Regarding the Suspension of Shellfishing and Recreational Activities in Back Bays.

Due to a broken sewer line in the vicinity of Beach Thorofare in Atlantic City (Bader Field area) shellfish located in Shelter Island Bay, Risley Channel, Dock Thorofare, Whirlpool Channel and Lakes Bay north of the Margate Bridge may have been subjected to pollution resulting from the release of sewage in the bay.

As a precaution, the New Department of Environmental Protection is suspending all shellfish harvesting in these areas.
