We Proudly Joined The Ventnor Pickleball Cult

We’ll admit it. It’s a cult, and we gladly joined it. Pickleball.

Caution. Pickleball is really fun, healthy, social and addictive.

On Sat. Sept. 11, it was a Downbeach dink-a-palooza. The first ever Funky Pickle Ventnor Classic.

Plenty of sponsor support too: Water Dog Smokehouse, Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, Sack O’ Subs, Ducktown Tavern, Eventions Productions, Stretch Zone, Margate PBA, Lexus of Atlantic City, Ciocca Dealerships, Wawa, Casel’s, Landing Creek Pickleball, Essl’s, Performance Pickleball and others.

The City of Ventnor looked superb thanks to Donna Peterson.

Pat Harrigan, Joe Tosh and the entire Ventnor Pickleball Community embraced this event.

Volunteers put in the hard work to make this event run smoothly.

With the support of all of sponsors, players and guests, they raised enough money to donate over $10,000 to support emergency responders including our event beneficiary, All Clear Foundation, and local first responder nonprofit, The Josh Vadell Foundation.

The Funky Pickle Ventnor Classic was so very awesome.

Thanks to Alex & Maggie of Funky Pickle Productions

  1. Did the senior citizen men and women, and people off all ages play football then, like they do with so many folks playing pickleball at the shore now ?
