Stockton and ACCC took money from the wind turbine companies. Shore towns like Ventnor, Margate and Longport once took money as well.

Note: Ventnor and Margate finally woke up to the potential harm and high cost of offshore wind. Both towns are finally fighting back. Longport Mayor Nick Russo however, is supportive of massive wind farms just of their coast.

Defend Our Beaches NJ will hold a press conference at 10 a.m. on Tuesday June 25 on the Atlantic City Boardwalk at South Belmont Avenue, next to The Ritz Condos.

Later on Tuesday, June 25, a virtual public hearing will be held at 6 p.m. The hearing will discuss Atlantic Shores’ request to the state Department of Environmental Protection to use restricted land.

The virtual public meeting will talk about changes on 1.8 acres of city land. This includes 1.35 acres of beach and Boardwalk land between South Texas and Iowa avenues, .19 acres at Bader Field, and .26 acres at Pollitto Field and the Boathouse at Fairmount and Sovereign avenues.

  • Seth Grossman of Liberty and Prosperity will explain Green Acres Diversion Program.
  • Brigantine Mayor Vince Sera will talk about project’s impact on shore towns.
  • Community activist Steve Young will speak on environmental justice.

Critics say the plan will harm the health and safety of Atlantic City residents and hurt tourism.

Sherri Lilienfeld of Defend Our Beaches NJ is producing the press conference featuring guest speakers, Seth Grossman, Brigantine Mayor Vince Sera, and activist Steve Young.

  1. This is the result of a governor and greedy politicians lining their pockets.
Where are the disproportionate adverse health effects on minorities people?

  2. Doesn’t AC already have a ton of power lines above and below ground?

Have they been linked to increased cancer rates? Fossil fuel emissions certainly have, but this is new

  3. A Definite No No for off shore wind farms along Our Beautiful Shores and Our Land including the Old Atlantic City Airport known as Bader field ! No No for wind farms off New Jersey.

I attended that meeting. Astounding how many pro-wind attendees actually know nothing about scope of this project or the possible detrimental effects of this experiment on the ocean, their town, the coast, human health, sea life, the seafood industry etc.

Blindly running toward any solution to the “existential threat” of climate change!
