Developer Mark Greco’s Amazing Turn-Around of Ventnor Plaza

At one time, the Ventnor Plaza shopping center was nothing to write home about.

The 15 acre property had seen better days with a paltry 40% vacancy rate. Nuisance flooding was all too common.

Today, Ventnor Plaza on Wellington Ave. is virtually sold out of commercial space.

Burger King should be open by May. A new Starbucks Coffee could be operating by June 2024. These new businesses will join:

Developer and Ventnor resident, Mark Greco, acquired Ventnor Plaza in the summer of 2022

Much needed improvements are well underway: repaved parking lot, better lighting, streetscaping and landscaping, higher elevations, less nuisance flooding with better drainage, entrance/exits, etc.

Lisa Brody of Pickle Juice Pickleball Club opened her Ventnor Plaza facility in the Fall of 2023. The indoor pickleball club has been a ‘major hit’ says Brody.

We also noted the likely compromise with adjacent, Victoria Ave neighbors. Portion of the Plaza roadway looks like it was curved away from backyards. See pic below.

Good luck and God bless with your developing the Wellington Ave. Project. It’s a great improvement to Ventnor Heights. Thank you for investing in the area.

  1. Thank you for the improvements! I would like to see a couple more trash cans along the walkway, especially near the Dollar Tree. Also, the sidewalk there always looks so dirty. Maybe hire someone to power wash it on a regular basis?

  2. It beats the old days of JM fields and Bradley’s. Love seeing someone invest in commercial real estate in Ventnor. Glenn
