Former Ventnor Firefighter Sentenced For Prescription Fraud

Former Ventnor City firefighter, Corey Sutor, has been sentenced to 12 months and one day in prison for defrauding New Jersey’s Health Benefits Program.

In 2018, Sutor plead guilty to conspiracy to commit health care fraud. The firefighter was found guilty of persuading individuals to obtain expensive and unnecessary compounded medications.

Sutor must forfeit his gains and pay restitution of at least $2.09 million.

  1. …and now cue the usual/same folks to attack local elected officials for lack of oversight, when by rule the oversight of municipal plans administered via the state comes out of the state capital in Trenton. Predictable – why not, they falsely blame these very same officials for everything else with no evidence – other than their opinions, personal axes to grind and agendas. (And having backed other candidates who again lost decisively).

    So endeth the lesson.
