Longport’s Mayor Russo Won’t Run For 5th Term

After 16 years in office, Longport Mayor Nick Russo will not run for re-election to a 5th term.

Longport Commissioner Jim Leeds is also stepping down at the end of his term. Leeds served on the Longport Planning and Zoning board too.

Longport Commissioner Dan Lawler will be on the Nov. 5, 2024 ballot. Lawler has experience in Longport Revenue and Finance, Public Works and Public Safety.

Patrick K. Armstrong and James Ulmer will join the Lawler ticket.

Longport general election to fill the office of Borough Commissioners.

Deadline for filing nominating petitions is Thursday, August 22, 2024 at 4:00p.

Longport residents interested in running for a seat on the Longport Board of Commissioners may obtain the nominating petitions from the clerk’s office, 2305 Atlantic avenue, Longport, NJ.

Three seats are open for the office of Borough Commissioner.

Longport election is scheduled for November 5, 2024.

The term of office is four years.

Ventnor voters will hit the ballot box on MAY 14, 2024.

The current Ventnor admin of Mayor Lance Landgraf, Maria Mento and Tim Kriebel are running unopposed.
