Ventnor Closer to Getting 3 Restaurant Liquor Licences

Buy and enjoy a cocktail before dinner in Ventnor? That could happen starting July 1 when Ventnor plans to issue 3 retail liquor consumption licenses.

A majority of Ventnor voters said yes in a referendum vote last year allowing beer, wine and liquor sales at 3 area restaurants.

To make it official, public hearings and a vote on the Ventnor liquor consumption ordinance will be held at City Hall on Thursday, May 18. at 6p.

The 3 ‘plenary’ liquor licenses will be offered to existing restaurants in town,  or they could be used as a way to attract new restaurants to Ventnor.

Ventnor currently has eight liquor stores. These retail wine, beer & booze outlets have benefited from the many BYOB restaurants.
