Margate Must Have Input in Dune Building & Drainage

The court has spoken. It looks like the dunes debate has been settled, once and for all. (we think). It’s now time for Margate to cooperate with the State DEP and the Army Corps of Engineers. Margate would benefit by having input into the design of the dunes, and the issue of street drainage that these newly built dunes will create.

In November 2015, Margate resident Stan Silverman wrote: “Battle over Margate dunes: City and state leaders need to talk with each other.”

The article describes the effectiveness and costs of both the dune and bulkhead alternatives.
