A recent winter storm highlighted just how old and vulnerable these Margate bulkheads are when a sidewalk at Amherst Ave., in front of Memories Nightclub, collapsed.
Margate wants to build higher bulkheads in front of the older ones. In some cases, The city of Margate would need easements from property owners. The goal is to increase bulkhead heights from 5 feet to 9 feet.
