Mary Lee is the famous Great White Shark that seems to really like Atlantic City and our South Jersey shoreline. That’s why ‘Joe Jaws’ was a recent guest on the Mel Taylor Show, on WPG Talk Radio 1450 in Atlantic City. Click below to listen.
The tagged and tracked shark was recently spotted just southeast of Atlantic City. The 3,450 pound great white was also pinged near Barnegat Bay and Barnegat Lighthouse State Park.
Originally tagged in Sept. of 2012 with an electronic tracker, Mary Lee is quite the traveler: as far north as Nova Scotia and just south of Bermuda. Mary Lee prefers the eastern seaboard from Atlantic City down through Jacksonville, Florida.
