Longport commissioners have set the hours and dates for BBQ and picnics on the beach during the fast approaching 2024 summer season.
Picnicking and BBQ’s will be permitted on the beach 10a to 8p on holiday weekends.
The dates are as follows:
Memorial Day weekend, Saturday through Monday, May 25-27
Independence Day weekend, Thursday through Sunday, July 4-7
Labor Day weekend, Saturday through Monday, Aug. 31-Sept. 2.
Charcoal grills must be 36 inches or smaller.
Coals must be extinguished with water, wrapped in aluminum foil and placed next to trash receptacles at beach entrances.
No alcoholic beverages allowed.
